Canadian Virtual University
Canadian Virtual University is a partnership of universities across Canada committed to delivering
university level programs that can be completed from anywhere in the country or beyond. Canadian
universities offering over 175 programs available through the Internet or by distance education.
Centre for Distance Education, Simon Fraser University
SFU offers one of the largest distance education programs in Canada, with over 12,000 course enrolments
a year in 118 credit courses. Additional courses are under development, including graduate-level programs.
The Commonwealth of Learning
Established by Commonwealth governments, this international agency aims to improve access and quality
in education through promotion of distance learning techniques and communications technologies.
Contact North
Ontario's most extensive distance education network, Contact North is used by secondary schools, colleges,
and universities to provide residents of Northern Ontario access to courses at more than 150 sites.

Independent Learning Centre
The Ministry of Education and Training's Independent Learning Centre provides
a wide range of courses that allow adults to earn secondary school diploma credits,
upgrade their basic skills, or study for personal development. The General Educational
Development (GED) testing program is also offered.
International Centre for Distance Learning
Part of the UK's Open University, ICDL collects and distributes information
on worldwide distance learning opportunities.
The NODE: Network for Ontario Distance Educators
